Big Ten 7s Championship Announced


SOUTH BEND, IN – The Big Ten has set its 2023 7s Championship plans. The conference will declare a champion via a single tournament to be hosted at the University of Notre Dame on Saturday, 15 April. The event will start after noon and the conference expects to crown its champion under the lights at Stinson Rugby Field.


The tournament will include both a first and second side championship.


Currently, the Big Ten has nine members for its championship 7s: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, and Wisconsin. The conference is considering including additional members to expand the field to 12 teams.


The final field of competitors, pools, schedules, and streaming information will be confirmed in a subsequent release.
